What Your Donation Can Accomplish
$1 per week:
- Provides a victim of domestic violence counseling and advice 24/7 through the Council on Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence.
- Can provide transportation to 17 shut-in senior citizens for one year, allowing them to go to the doctor, buy groceries, and live independently.
- Allows 6 children to participate in art and music classes offered by the Le Mars Arts Council that otherwise wouldn’t have this opportunity.
$5 per week:
- Allows Life Skills Training Center to buy needed laundry equipment to keep their clients with disabilities employed and living more independently.
- Provides 6 youths from low-income, single parent homes the opportunity to learn about and experience with positive mentors from Pheasants Forever, outdoor activities like camping and hunting, that they would not otherwise get to experience.
- Can provide for low-income working families, 15 days of Transitional Kindergarten instruction at Gehlen Transitional Kindergarten, or 4-star quality pre-school instruction at Le Mars Day Care.
- Buys a family of 4, groceries for a month along with counseling services from The Living Center.
- Can prevent an at-risk middle school student from failing or dropping out of school through intervention from YFC’s Asylum Teen Center or LCS’s Summer Program.
$10 per week:
- Gives disaster relief services from the Red Cross to a family of 4.
- Allows a person with severe and persistent mental illness to receive weekend and evening programming to avoid isolation or crisis situations.
