The number of quality child care slots in Siouxland has dropped over the last few years. According to Iowa Child Care Resource and Referral, from 2015 to 2020, Woodbury County has lost 33% of child care programs. In that same time frame, families with all parents working and children under age 6 has increased by 3%.
United Way of Siouxland has committed to finding sustainable solutions to this problem.
