Source for Siouxland is a collaborative, strategic community planning initiative for Siouxland. United Way of Siouxland helps support this program and serves as the fiscal agent for the initiative.
Key goals of the project are:
- To collect and share local, vetted, data with the entire Siouxland community
- Maximize use of data for expanded grant opportunities to support our community
- Help identify community issues and potential solutions
In 2019, expanded metrics were developed which included:
- Five global data indicators
- Enhanced data analysis
- Measurement of progress over time
- Establishment of an infrastructure to engage the community based on the findings and opportunities
Local data is collected in five areas: Economic Stability, Education, Health, Safety, and Quality of Life.
Source for Siouxland involves dozens of community partners including Catholic Charities, Great Plains ToP, Growing Community Connections, Helios Foundation, One Siouxland, SHIP, Siouxland CARES, Siouxland Community Foundation, Siouxland District Health Department, and United Way of Siouxland.
