Volunteer

Volunteers are the heart of United Way. The time and talent provided by community members allows us to expand our outreach, maximize results and build a network to support our community. Below you will find several current options for volunteering within United Way. You can also find community-wide opportunities at www.volunteersiouxland.org

A Campaign Executive is responsible for confirming the support of 5-10 local organizations supporting United Way by making sure they have all the materials they need to run an employee campaign and work with company coordinators to improve their campaign.

There is also a new accounts team dedicated to inviting companies currently not involved in supporting United Way through the annual campaign.

Volunteers participate in a one hour training session in late July and can expect to spend 1-2 hours/week through November contacting accounts and confirming support.
