Women's Power Lunch

2019 Women's Power Lunch

The 2019 Women's Power Lunch will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at Delta Hotels Center. The keynote speaker is Victoria Arlen! GET TICKETS HERE.

Victoria was 11 when she came down with a rare viral disease which she battled for five years – four of which she spent in a vegetative state. The disease left her without the use of her legs for almost a decade. Having been a lifelong swimmer and athlete, Arlen never gave up hope of competing in the Olympics and in spring of 2012 she qualified for the London Paralympic Games in four events. While there she won a Gold Medal and three Silver Medals. Despite missing five years of school due to her illness, Arlen graduated on-time with her triplet brothers in 2013. Arlen is now an on-air personality with ESPN reporting for numerous programs including Special Olympics, Invictus Games, and The ESPY Awards.

The Power of the Purse Raffle will be held at the conclusion of the luncheon with at least 100 purses and three grand prizes up for grabs. Raffle tickets can be purchased at: www.wpl2019.eventbrite.com and/or from Women’s Power Lunch Committee members, and on the day of the event; you need not be present to win. Purse donations are currently being accepted.

Proceeds from the event fund the scholarships and certification grants awarded each year to single parents in Siouxland who qualify for assistance. Make a donation to the Single Parent Scholarship fund now.
